Yes are billed as a progressive rock band and in reality, they have a range of styles. Close to the Edge is Yes' fifth album and was their biggest success, peaking at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 in the United States and No. 4 on the UK albums chart. 

The title track is 18 minutes in length marking the band's bravery and ability to experiment.
