Uriah Heep – Innocent Victim (2015 Reissue on 180g Vinyl)

Released in November 1977, Innocent Victim is the 11th studio album by Uriah Heep.

Innocent Victim was the second album with John Lawton in the role of lead vocalist. Some excellent rockers in the shape of Keep On Ridin’ and Flyin’ High set the tone for the album and Free ‘n’ Easy was a stage favourite in the Easy Livin’ mode. However, the surprise hit across Europe was the single Free Me, an acoustic number with a sing-along quality which evoked Lady in Black from Salisbury. Both tracks are still hugely popular in Germany to this day.

Although it did not chart in the US or UK, Innocent Victim went on to sell more than 100,000 copies in Germany alone, and reached No. 19 and No. 44 in New Zealand and Australia, respectively.
